Hi, I'm Verna

product reviews

This product is 100% filled with vegetarian ingredients. No animal testing nor does it contain parabens, silicones, minerals or sulfates. So curly girl friendly approved. I won’t go into detail about the ingredients this time, but since this product is rich in plant and herb extracts, I’ve attached a few of the common ones you’ll see in some hair care products.

One of the things about plant derived extracts is that they function to add moisture to products. In addition to its moisturising benefits, it has also been found to deliver amino acids, proteins, vitamins, fatty acids and minerals. (NCBI/US Library of Medicine)

I first heard about this product from powerdomi who raved about it so I wanted to give it a try. I’ve had the chance to try this product out a few times before giving my review. This is considered to be a leave in treatment versus a leave in conditioner which is supposed to help damaged hair, infuse hair with protein-enriched botanicals and protect hair from heat damage, helps to re-bond split ends. I personally feel that you have to use this on a consistent basis in order to really get all the benefits.

The way I figured out how to incorporate this into my routine is to use it as an added step when either my hair is a little frizzy after deep conditioning or after using a light to moderate protein deep conditioner. There’s a number of reasons why my hair is still frizzy after deep conditioning and one of the main reasons is that either I did not allow the deep conditioner to do its thing long enough or my hair just didn’t get enough protein. Hope that makes sense.

FYI, you really have to work the product in until your hair feels smooth and once you apply the leave in conditioner on top of that (if you wish) your hair will fell more moisturized. The only con for me is that I have to use quite a bit, which means I will go through this product quickly.
