product reviews

Disclaimer: I forgot to mention this in my first post, but while botanical ingredients are harmless for most, there are some who may have plant or botanical allergies. If so, then these may not be for you. With that being said, I know a lot of us like to choose products based on what the label states on the front but never pay attention to the ingredients on the back. So make sure you read everything.  According to Dr. Nina Botto, an assistant professor at the University of California, to be on the safe side when trying new products, protect yourself by testing yourself. Do a skin patch test twice daily for a week. If you don’t get a rash or red bumps, then it’s probably ok. (I saw @mismmo mention this the other day as well).

This is a vitamin enriched Hydra-Drench 2 in 1 cleanse and condition product, so technically you don’t need to use a conditioner afterwards. Hydra-Drench simply means it drenches hair with moisture. This cleanses your hair and moisturizes at the same time. There are no suds or foam with this product. I don’t know about you but I always like to let the cleansers sit on my hair for at least 3 minutes before I rinse to allow the ingredients to do its thing. Anybody else do that? Anywho, this has great slip and detangles well. It’s super creamy, thick and smells fantastic just like the other cleansers.

Most of y’all know I prefer shampoos over co-washing, but when I need the extra moisture I will pull out a co-wash. For example, if I skip a wash day, like I mentioned in my IG story last week, I’ll use a co-wash cleanser for that extra moisture. Not always, but sometimes. Overall, I think the whole line is awesome. That’s my opinion. I cannot wait to try their curl creams when they come out.
